Elton John hosted his annual White Tie and Tiara Ball at his £20 million house in Windsor, Berkshire last night.Last year he raised £6.1 million for Elton’s Aids Foundation, and this year the £3,000 a ticket event was attended by Mischa Barton, Eva Herzigova, Elle Macpherson and Will Smith. This year’s bash had a beach theme.
Slightly further down the fame stakes, other guests included Gordon Ramsey, Graham Norton and Westlife’s Kian Egan.
Dot-com era soon to be no more
As internet regulators yesterday granted permission allowing thousands of new domain names.
In one of the biggest changes to the web since it was created, businesses have been given the all-clear to apply for different suffixes, rather than the normal .com, .org, or .info currently being used.
So the future of internet webpages could cover locations such as .london, industries such as .bank, or entertainment such as .gamble. It could also mean that website creators could end their website addresses with .sex or .xxx. Something tells me people are going to start to get imaginative…

* Strictly pair Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace have split up, post Strictly Come Dancing tour. Reports say she’s back dancing with her ex Vincent Simone, and Matt’s been seen cosy-ing up to Michelle Heaton in Mahiki after her recent split.
* BB Dennis faces the axe after spitting in fellow housemates Mohamed’s face. Live coverage was suspended by Channel 4 during the incident, after an argument broke out between the housemates late last night.
* Danielle Lloyd bares all for charity…to raise awareness of The Linda McCartney’s Centre’s Field of Women event. Lloyd has raised £100,000 for the charity since she was treated at the centre two years ago.
* Agyness Deyn has replaced Angelina Jolie as the face of Japanese cosmetics firm Shiseido.
* Mini Me actor Verne Troyer is the latest celebrity to appear in a sex tape. The tape featuring the 2ft 8 inch actor was stolen by a third party, and is now said to be up for sale. Kevin Blatt, who brokered the deal for Paris Hilton's sex tape, is rumoured to be considering paying $100,000 to distribute the footage.
