Wayne and Coleen tie the knot

In a reported £3 million wedding, Wayne and Coleen finally became man and wife yesterday in a mammoth wedding day in the Italian Riviera.

The couple had an early morning civil ceremony, officially tying the knot beneath a Louis XVI chandelier inside Villa Durazzo, surrounded by 15 close friends and family, just outside Genoa. After a not-so-quick change into an £100,000 dress, the bride proceeded to a former monastery on a clifftop nearby, where Wayne was waiting, and they had their marriage blessed. An early-evening champagne reception proceeded, followed by a banquet (where the menu included pizza), an £100,000 fireworks display, and a disco into the early hours.

Sadly for the Rooney’s money can’t buy everything, and despite three preceding days of glorious temperatures and bright sunshine in their Italian location, it pelted it down with rain yesterday. So umbrellas were the must-have accessory at the celeb wedding of the year…although the weather did eventually brighten for the afternoon ceremony.


Jacko’s fashion line

Michael Jackson has reportedly starting working on his own fashion line. He is working with designer Christian Audigier apparently, according to Life & Style and will be his major comeback.

A perfect example of multi-platform pimping, the Coldplay marketing team have done a fantastic job in getting word-on-the-street out there about the boys fourth album.
* Madonna’s brother Christopher Ciccone is to release a tell-all memoir about the star. Life With My Sister Madonna will be released in mid-July.
