Finally after years and years of Glasto rain and a whole lot of mud – this year’s Glasto weather changed its tune and the sun shone.
Highlights of the weekend included Jay-Z’s reply to Noel Gallagher’s claim that there shouldn’t be hip-hop at Glastonbury, so Jay-Z opened his set with a tongue-in-cheek version of Wonderwall.
Amy Winehouse elbowed a fan in the front row, after repeatedly being booed during her Pyramid stage set, other than this one small incident as well as looking and sounding a little drunk she managed to make it to the end of her set in one piece.
Golden Oldies were a highlight of the festival with Shakin Stevens and Neil Diamond both rocking the crowds.
Lily Allen also dedicated her performance to “Nana Allen” who died the night before she came to the festival, she clasped song lyrics for her performance on a piece of paper as she claimed she had forgotten the words.
With much less mud than normal, and a few less people, Glasto seemed be a roaring success, and celebs turned out in their droves as the Somerset festival is still the place to be seen in late June. Sightings included veteran Kate Moss, heart-broken Rhys Ifans, Jay-Z’s belle Beyonce, Will Young, and A-list wannabes Bodger and Badger. Epic...
Spain crowned champions
In case anyone’s had their head buried underground last night – Spain were crowned champions of Europe, beating Germany 1-0 in Euro 2008.
Fernando Torres said Spain deserved to win because they played the best football, but he deserved to say whatever he wanted seeing as it was his goal in the first half that secured the win in Vienna.
This is the first time Torres has won a trophy of any kind, and the first major trophy that Spain have won in 44 years so they had more than one reason to celebrate.
All Spanish eyes look towards the World Cup in two years time to see if they can repeat their victory. Footballing pundits say it’s a young team, so anything is possible, and they’ve definitely got the confidence now to strive to do it.

* Paul Gascoigne is planning to propose to his ex-wife Sheryl once he has proved to her that he can stay sober.
* Andy Scott-Lee has accused Matt Di Angelo of "killing" his relationship with Michelle Heaton after spending two nights in a hotel room with her in April.
* Following in her sister’s footsteps Sophie Price (aka Jordan’s younger sister) is launching a new range of swimwear. The 18-year-old has been approached to design and model her own collection, which will be aimed at teenagers.
* Sarah Harding is back with DJ boyfriend Tom Crane, after resolving their trust issues. The pair split a few weeks ago after rumours of a close relationship with Jackson Williams. Crane’s now got over his jealousy and the pair are back together.
