The Mojo awards took place on Monday night and Duffy came out on top winning the Song of the Year award with Mercy. It’s taken six months for this former waitress to shoot to fame, offering a clean-cut, far too nice, version of Amy Winehouse.
The awards, voted by readers of Mojo magazine hailed Duffy’s Mercy as a “timeless classic.”

Average ipod has 842 illegal tracks
What a surprise…the average young person’s ipod has 842 illegally downloaded tracks, according to recent research carried out by the University of Hertfordshire, which showed that half of 14 to 24 year olds share their digital collection, allowing others to freely copy tracks.
Findings showed that the average mp3 player contains 1,770 songs.
The positive message according to the survey showed that 80% of downloaders said they would pay for a legal subscription-based service.
