Take That to Round Off 2007 by Bringing in 2008

TAKE THAT have signed up to celebrate an incredible 12 months by bringing in the New Year live on ITV.
The manband have been locked in talks about starring in the special. And yesterday MARK OWEN, GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD and JASON ORANGE finally put pen to paper.
The lads will line up alongside a stellar guestlist on the big countdown. A source said: “The lads had discussions for a long time. They have been on tour and the Christmas period had been signed off as holiday.
But ITV have made an incredible offer and they couldn’t refuse.”
The show is being filmed at London’s O2 Arena and SUGABABES have also signed up to perform.
The boys have been rocked in recent weeks after Howard punctured a lung doing a stage backflip.
He’ll be back on form in time to perform — hopefully with some trademark breakdancing moves.
I’m sure all TT fans will agree, having them on telly at New Year is a great way to sign off 2007

Like father Like Daughter

Shamed Bianca Gascoigne wept yesterday after being given a 17-month driving ban for drink-driving.
The beauty crashed her new £35,000 Mercedes while drunk in September.

The former Love Island winner – who admitted being almost twice the legal limit – was so drunk on the night she crashed that she passed out as police breath-tested her, a court heard yesterday.

Bianca, who wore three-inch white stilettos and tight black trousers as she represented herself at Watford Magistrates’ Court yesterday, said: “I know what I did was wrong.

“I have let my brothers and my mother down.

“I hold my hands up to it. It was a really stupid thing to do and I will never do it again. I’m really sorry.”

She crashed on September 24 after spending the day drinking champagne to mark her mum Sheryl’s 42nd birthday.

The curvy star, stepdaughter of fallen soccer idol Paul Gascoigne, 40, careered down a hill and ploughed into the back of a red Honda Civic in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, the court heard.

Also is there a hint of romance in the camp this year? sparks seem to be flying between Cerys Matthews and ex Eastender Marc Bannerman. Jordan and Peter eat your heart out.

Trouble In the Jungle

It’s only day one and already there is trouble brewing as scary Janice Dickinson sparked panic in the jungle by threatening to stab Lynne Franks.
The mouthy model claimed she would knife Lynne and “eat her tits” — because she had a better bed.
Furious Janice, 52, ranted to other I’m A Celeb contestants: “I’m going to stab her in the middle of the night and take her bed.
"Don’t think I’m kidding, I’ll eat her tits. I’ll fry up those big old boobs.”
The American first fell out with PR guru Lynne over food.

Lily Who?

LILY ALLEN is in talks to be Doctor Who’s next assistant.
Show bosses desperately want the singer to sex-up the sci-fi series.
Catherine tate is currently filming in the role but bosses want Lily to succeed her in battling alien enemies including the Daleks and the Cybermen.
The BBC recently handed the Smile star her own chat show and hope it will be the start of a long-term relationship.
They would love her to take over one of the most high-profile female roles on British TV.

A show source said: “Lily is multi-talented. She comes from more of a TV background than a musical one. After the chat show we hope she’ll take over from Catherine as Dr Who’s assistant.

John Simm will reportedly take over the role of The Doctor from David Tennant, playing the eleventh incarnation of the popular Time Lord.

The News of the World claims that the deal has been signed, with the former Life on Mars star to play the coveted role in the fifth season due to be screened in 2010.

The tabloid cites a BBC insider as saying: "John is absolutely over the moon. He's got a six-year-old son who is a massive Doctor Who fan and he can't believe his dad is going to fly the Tardis at work."

Simm appeared in the final three episodes of the third season of Doctor Who earlier this year in a different role - as evil Time Lord The Master.

Rich Robbie

Robbie Williams earned a massive £32,200,163 from his world tour last year.

The singer performed at 44 gigs in 14 countries over a period of nine months in 2006, but the pressures of the tour resulted in him becoming hooked on anti-depressants and checking into rehab.

Kanye's mom dies

The mother of rap star Kanye West has died at the age of 58 after cosmetic surgery developed complications.

Dr Donda West, who managed the star's businesses and educational foundation and was the subject of his song Hey Mama, died in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Her publicist Patricia Green said she passed away "as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure", but gave no more details.

Mobile phone footage showed the Babyshambles frontman injecting the drug last Friday, hours after returning to the UK from the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich.

The shocking film of Doherty taking the killer drug is a clear breach of magistrates’ warnings he will face jail unless he stays clean.


Frank is the coolest - Fact

Miller marriage?

Sienna Miller has reportedly got engaged to Rhys Ifans after he proposed to her with a poem he had written.

Ifans reportedly sang 'Marry This Misfit' while playing his guitar and read her the words: "I bleed for you."

Miller did not realise the Notting Hill star was being serious at first and simply laughed. A source said: "She fell about laughing, but soon realised Rhys was serious. While she didn't give him an answer straight away, she's since been thinking about it more and more."

But some of the pair's friends claim Miller has already said yes to Ifans. One told the Mirror: "After telling people about Rhys's strange proposal, Sienna's been very coy about what her answer was. Mika says no to boyz

Mika has blocked Boyzone from recording his song 'I Gave It All Away'. The singer had originally planned to allow other acts to record the tune but decided the Irish boyband's version was "too cheesy" to be released.

An industry source told The Sun: "Mika wrote the song and made it available for other artists. "Boyzone loved it. They thought it was perfect to launch their comeback so they recorded it and it sounded great - a certain number one."

A friend of Mika commented: "He is keen to start writing for other pop artists as well as himself. But Boyzone isn’t really what he had in mind.

Son of Knight Rider

MAKERS of the new Knight Rider TV series have found a replacement for David Hasselhoff.

According to reports in the US, soap actor Justin Bruening will take the lead role, playing the son of Hasselhoff's character Michael Knight.

Bruening is best known in the States for his role in All My Children, which he has played since 2003.

The return of Knight Rider follows the remake of another 80s classic, Bionic Women, staring Ex-EastEnders star Michelle Ryan which has become a ratings hit.

No Hope

Futureproof have slammed X Factor rivals Hope - saying the girls all hate each other.

Singer Richard Wilkinson, whose band were booted off the show on Saturday, said the all-girl group "detest" each other and will split up as soon as they're kicked off the series.

He said: "We knew right from the start when we were put together at boot camp that no matter what, we knew we would stay together as a group. Whereas with Hope, if they get put out of the competition, a couple of the members really do detest each other. Because we've heard them arguing!

Katona can't kick it

Former pop star Kerry Katona has revealed she is still smoking and drinking alcohol despite being four months pregnant.

Speaking to Star magazine, she said: "I was smoking 20 a day before I was pregnant and I've cut down to one."

Katona, who had a miscarriage scare early in her pregnancy, said she has done "really well" cutting back.

The 27-year-old added: "I honestly don't think a couple of puffs are going to do that much damage."

Wand-ering eye

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe shops with his stage lover – confirming they are dating.

The boy wizard, 18, was snapped with Laura O’Toole strolling in Fulham, West London.

The pair first met in steamy West End play Equus, where Daniel had to strip for raunchy scenes.

Dubliner Laura, 22, was the understudy for the role of his girlfriend.

The play ended five months ago but the pair are still secretly seeing each other, as our exclusive snap reveals. A source said: “There were rumours they were dating when the play was going on.
“It was even reported that they shared a smooch at the wrap party. But they played it down.” Daniel’s spokesman refused to comment.

Oprah's own channel

US talk show host Oprah Winfrey has launched her own channel on the video sharing website YouTube.

Behind-the-scenes video footage from her television show and interviews with people who have become famous through YouTube will be shown on the channel.

In a message posted on the website the 53-year-old said she was "excited" to have her own channel.

Winfrey, who has been hosting her show for 22 years, said videos sent in by viewers would also be broadcast.
