Brian’s Bard Guides

Big Brother winner Brian Belo has been asked to front a series of Shakespeare Made Simple podcasts.

He memorably admitted in the house that he had no idea who the Bard was, adding: "Romeo and Juliet? Ain't Romeo in the So Solid Crew?"

But Borders book chain wants Brian, 20, to read explanations of the classic plays in downloadable clips.

Spokesman David Kohn said: "Getting him on board could be the perfect way to get a new generation into Shakespeare."

Radio One Revamps Schedule

Radio 1 listeners will get an extra 30 minutes of Chris Moyles, plus agony aunt sessions with Kelly Osbourne in a massive schedule shake-up.

Gobby Moyles - the self-styled station saviour - will begin his breakfast show earlier at 6.30am from October 12. He said: "I'm really pleased with my extension! We always run out of time on the show so it'll be great having an extra half hour a day."

New for Sunday nights will be Annie Mac with a special show for teenagers. And from 10pm until midnight Kelly will front Surgery - where listeners talk about their relationship or health problems.

Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates will host the chart show plus a new audience request slot at weekends. Former kids' TV presenters Dick and Dom get their own Sunday morning show.

JK and Joel are out, with new boy Greg James - who was on student radio just months ago - taking over their early morning show. Radio 1 now pulls in 10.87million listeners and Moyles is chasing Terry Wogan who has the nation's most popular radio breakfast show. Moyles has 7.26 million fans - up 200,000 in the past three months - and just 660,000 behind Wogan.
