Girls Aloud set UK singles record

Girls Aloud have won a place in the new Guinness World Records book after scoring the most consecutive top 10 hits in the UK chart by a female group.

The act, whose latest chart success is Sexy! No No No, have scored a run of 16 hits inside the top 10.

They replace Beyonce's former band Destiny's Child in the compendium, whose record was 11.

Madonna captured the record for the highest-grossing music tour per concert from Cher.
The pop star also sets the standard for most chart-topping albums by a female artist, having reached the chart summit nine times. The title was previously held by Kate Bush.

Li Lo No Go

Linsay Lohan won't be leaving rehab just yet, according to her mum. Reports in the US earlier this week suggested Li-Lo's spell in the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah would be coming to an end this weekend.

But her mother has revealed her release date has yet to be set, so it looks like the Mean Girls star will remain in the clinic where she has been since July.

Lohan has arguably made more headlines in rehab than she did before she checked in. She allegedly had a steamy romp with a married fellow rehabber Tony Allen - sparking his wife Stephanie into filing for divorce.

There are also reports that she was caught taking drugs and warned to stay clean or face being thrown out of the centre. She entered rehab to seek counselling following two drink drive charges earlier this year.

The actress has also sought to battle her drug demons after she was caught in possession of cocaine during her arrest.

Kate Moss dumped by 7 brands

Kate Moss has been axed as the face of seven brands as the supermodel’s “cocaine honeymoon” fades away.

The 33-year-old was snapped up by firms after she was exposed taking the drug in 2005. But interest has faded in the past year and she has lost lucrative deals including Coco Chanel and Agent Provocateur.

Last autumn she had a record 18 contracts worth tens of millions of pounds. This has fallen to 11, with stars like Keira Knightley taking her place on billboards.

And this time last year, fashion bible Vogue had six campaigns using Kate including Dior, Louis Vuitton and Burberry. Next month’s issue has none. An industry source said: “She is still very big but the honeymoon period has ended.”
