Boyzone back in town

Just when you thought reunion fever couldn’t get any hotter, The Sun has revealed the Boyzone lads met up with their old boss Louis Walsh on Friday to thrash out a new deal.

Take That proved comebacks can be a big success, and fans of the Spice Girls are ecstatic that Posh and Co are back together too.
Now Boyzone, who split in 2000, want a piece of the action. They met met with X Factor star Louis, who managed them first time round, at the Conrad Hotel in Chelsea. An onlooker said: “Ronan and the gang were all there laughing and having a great time.”

Ronan sacked Louis as his solo manager in 2003 but they’ve buried the hatchet. It is believed the boys are considering doing a tour and TV documentary.

Moyles slams X Factor

Radio One DJ Chris Moyles has ripped into X Factor and denied rumours he’ll replace judge Sharon Osbourne – even for her £50,000-an-HOUR.

Moyles said if approached he’d tell bosses to shove the job “up their a***”.

But he accused producer and judge Simon Cowell of being “too gutless” to ask him anyway. Motormouth Moyles, 33 – on £630,000-a-year – said: “The show’s turning into a pantomime.
“Sharon walking out on Saturday night was just a PR stunt. I wouldn’t even do it for the money she’s on, but she’ll be back – she has a contract.”

Sharon has yet to contact X Factor, but will speak out today on pal Paul O’Grady’s Channel 4 show.

Rooney plays the blues

Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney will be getting a guitar painted Manchester City blue for his birthday after a blunder by Coleen McLoughlin.

Fiancee Coleen, 21, asked Oasis star Noel Gallagher to sign an instrument for Roo – a big fan of the band.

But Noel, 40, famous for hits including Wonderwall and Some Might Say, is a die-hard fan of United’s arch-rivals City.

He immediately hatched a plan to have the guitar sprayed light blue. Noel also scrawled his own message on it to Wayne: “Happy Birthday Fatboy.”
Leona looks likely for No 1
Leona Lewis looks on course to beat Take That in the eagerly anticipated battle for Sunday’s No1 spot.

The X Factor winner’s CD single Bleeding Love and Take That’s Rule The World hit stores yesterday – with Leona outselling the lads by three to one in Woolworths. She was also No1 download on iTunes.

If the trend continues Leona would bag top spot at the weekend, with Take That trailing in second place.

Woolies’ CD sales figures also had her outselling Britney Spears’ Gimme More by ten to one.
Brit’s single was released digitally last week, going straight into the UK singles charts at number three on downloads alone.

But kids’ favourite McFLY was beating them both with their new release The Heart Never Lies.
An HMV spokesman said: “We’re selling twice as many Leona singles as we are Take That, though right now they’re both being outsold by McFly.

“However, McFly releases always tend to start strongly due to their avid fan base and then level off, so the signs are looking really good for Leona landing her second UK No1 come the end of the week.”
