Stone's blue blazes

Joss Stone threw a major wobbly – and a few teacups – after her hair was dyed the wrong colour before a gig.

The singer flew into a rage backstage before her act at the Desert Rhythm Festival in Dubai on Saturday.

Joss wanted to add a purple tint to her already dyed deep red locks – but the whole lot turned a shade of blue.

When an assistant brought a nice cuppa to calm everyone down the crockery was sent flying.

A source said: “Joss was screaming and sobbing because of this hair malfunction and chucked a tray of tea on the floor.

“She wanted a little tint in her dyed red hair but it all turned dark blue. She was behaving like a woman possessed. Then when she walked in front of the crowd she had a beaming smile and acted like nothing had happened.”

Tearful reunion

Model Kimberly Stewart has a day out with pal Jack Osbourne – and looks like she had a wail of a time.

Rod Stewart’s daughter was spotted crying after browsing in estate agents’ windows with Ozzy and Sharon's lad, 21, in West London.

An onlooker said: “The pair of them have been friends since they were kids growing up in Hollywood.

“But the body language between them was seriously frosty. After she burst into tears Jack skulked off.”

New Skype handset

Mobile phone provider 3 has launched a new handset that will allow users to make free calls over the internet via telephony service Skype.

Users will also be able to use Skype's instant messaging service, 3 said.

But while people using Skype on their computers are able to make cheap global calls to any phone number, this will not be possible via the new 3 handset.

Skype has about 246 million registered users worldwide and is one of the firms reshaping the global phone industry.
