Mel B and Jerry Springer will host the Miss Universe pageant this year, taking place in Vietnam on July 13th, and airing live on NBC.Mel B's new TV show The Singing Office, which pits employees against each other in a singing contest, begins this month on US network TLC.
Co-host Springer said of the Miss Universe comp: "This is obviously a great honour and getting to work alongside Mel B makes it even better."

water.The genius footballer has decided to call it H 23 0 – after his famous no. 23 shirt, and Beck’s thinks water is a great idea as he’s keen to go down the healthy route after 10 years as the face of Pepsi.
Pepsi however, are desperate to keep Becks on its books when his contract expires later on this year, and they are currently negotiating big sums with the footballer to persuade him to stay.

* Pamela Anderson is to enter the Australian Big Brother House next month in a bid to help ratings. This news comes straight off the back of Anderson’s former husband Tommy Lee confirming the two are back together.
* Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson has signed a lucrative advertising deal with Natwest bank. He will front the ad campaign for an 11-18 year olds account, and his face will appear on several bank cards.
* Former Wildman Colin Farrell has apparently finally found “true love” with English novelist Emma Forrest. Used to playing the field quite spectacularly, but Forrest, for the moment at least, seems to be keeping the man under control. Rumours say the two are planning on moving in together to a place in LA.
* Wanna see Bianca Gascoigne and Danielle Lloyd hit each other over the head with pugel sticks? Who doesn’t….tune in to Sky One at 6pm on July 6th…where the two will be competing against each other in celeb Gladiators.
