Mills to splash out on £2.5 million New York pad

Heather Mills is poised to buy a £2.5 million flat in New York – keeping her promise to leave Britain after her divorce from Sir Paul.

She is said to have signed a contract on a two-bedroom apartment in the trendy West Village. The loft-style pad is in a glass skyscraper designed by American architect Richard Meier.

Other famous past-residents of the same block include Nicole Kidman and Calvin Klein. So with £2.5 million of the £24.3 million court settlement – what else can she find Stateside to splash her cash on?

Viagra is a fitting father’s day present

Happy Fathers Day to all fathers round the world yesterday – but it was a particularly happy one for those fathers in the north Mexican town of Escobedo, where the mayor was handing out free Viagra and free condoms in celebration.

Mayor Margarita Martinez handed out the freebees as part of a campaign to raise awareness about male health problems, and they were given to all men in the town. The Viagra were donated by local pharmacies, and with the combined effort for the cause it’s good to see that sex in Mexico is at the heart of the whole community.
