Brits Snubbed at Baftas
BRIT stars KEIRA KNIGHTLEY and JULIE CHRISTIE were sensationally snubbed at the Baftas - in favour of an unknown actress from France.
In a night of shocks at the star studded bash, MARION COTILLARD beat both our girls to pick up the Best Actress award.
Film buffs were left stunned as Julie, 66, had been heavily backed at 2/7 ON to pick up the gong.
She and 32-year-old brunette Marion, who was brought up in Paris, will now go head to head once again at the Oscars in two weeks time.
In an embarrassing moment on the red carpet, Marion was mistaken for rival Keira Knightley by around 50 screaming fans.
They started chanting “Keira, Keira we love you” before she turned around and told fans “I’m French”, while the real Knightley looked on in disbelief.
Keira was also upstaged in the glamour stakes by Brit rival SIENNA MILLER who wore £1million worth of diamonds — and thrilled male admirers with a sexy black dress that clung to her curvy behind.

Amy Takes the Grammys by Storm - From London
SHE may not have been in attendance, but there was no doubt the 2008 Grammys belonged to AMY WINEHOUSE.
The singer, whose personal life is in turmoil, pipped KANYE WEST by one gong, winning a staggering FIVE out of six awards.
She was close to making it a clean sweep but missed out on scooping Album of the Year to little known jazz veteran HERBIE HANCOCK.
After receiving her fifth award, ironically Record of the Year for hit single Rehab, an emotional Amy looked stunned and stared straight ahead for several seconds as the television feed cut to her in the London studio.
She then hugged her mum, JANICE and thanked her parents before giving a message to her husband via a satellite link-up.
“To my mum and dad, for my BLAKE, my Blake incarcerated.
“Thank you very much, it’s an honour to be here. Thank you very, very much.”
And, referring to this weekend’s blaze that ravaged Camden Market and one of her favourite haunts, The Hawley Arms pub, she pipped:
“...And for London. This is for London because Camden Town is burning down.”
