Prince of Darkness set to get naked at BRITS

BRIT award bosses are terrified Ozzy Osbourne will strip naked on stage. The Osbournes revealed their naked threat to Chris Moyles on Radio 1 yesterday morning, and the BRITS show team are now building in a delay of 30 seconds into live coverage in case things get too raunchy. The show will go out live at the pre-watershed time of 8pm.




Clearer Picture emerges in battle over high definition viewing

Toshiba are expected to pull plug on HD DVD format and make way for Blu-ray. Sony looks as if it has won the two year fight to produce the next generation of home DVD players with its blu-ray format, as arch-rival Toshiba prepares to accept defeat. Walmart has now said it’s going to dump HD DVD, and Toshiba are expected to make an announcement later on this week citing “a complete withdrawal” as one of its options.

* Natasha Kaplinsky started her £1 million-a-year job as the face of Five News last night. She has a see-through desk, a pink sofa, and the set colour changes with the gravity of the news.

* Paris Hilton has been disallowed an invite to the Oscars despite having a potential £2 million outfit to wear for the occasion. Her latest movie The Hottie and the Nottie has been voted the worst in history (by users of film bible IMDB). So organisers of the ceremony have pointed out that giving her an invite would be completely ridiculous.

* Jordon revealed yesterday that she and Peter Andre are planning to adopt a disabled child although their plans at the moment are to wait until next year to look into it further.

* Binge drinking, mental health problems, adolescent suicide: how can we help the youth of today? One answer being trialled is positive psychology (a new science practicing the art of keeping kids happy), which is being tested in lessons in several state schools in the UK at the moment. Britain recently came bottom in a Unicef survey of life satisfaction in youth (compared to 21 other developed countries).
