They are putting boards, Perspex sheets and metal grilles over the paintings, which now fetch six-figure sums, to protect them from rivals, vandals – and the artist himself. Banksy is thought to be taking revenge by spoiling his art on walls which are still uncovered – signing the altered artwork with “all the best.”
